We’re proud to share that Unscripted Spaces has been named a winner in San Diego Magazine’s 2026 Home + Design Awards, recognized in the Readers’ Choice category for Best Commercial Design: Retail.
This one means a lot to us. It was voted on by San Diego readers, real people in this community who took the time to weigh in.
San Diego Magazine’s Home + Design Awards is now in its third year, drawing nearly 200 nominations from architects, designers, and industry professionals across the country. Winners were selected by a panel of expert judges alongside a public reader vote, spanning categories from residential interiors and exteriors to commercial design.
Being recognized alongside so many talented designers and studios in this city is genuinely humbling. San Diego has a remarkable design community, and we’re grateful to be part of it.
When Jessica founded Unscripted Spaces on Girard Avenue in La Jolla, the goal was simple: build a showroom that didn’t feel like a showroom. A space where clients could walk in, sit down, and actually imagine how a kitchen, closet, or living space could work for their life. A place that felt like a home because that’s what we’re designing.
Apparently, it’s working.
