There’s a spiral of light frozen inside a crystal rod. That’s not a metaphor. That’s literally what’s happening with BOMMA’s Flare collection.
Designed by Kateřina Handlová, Flare is built on an old glassmaking technique: molten glass gets covered in tiny glass shards, then pulled by hand. Stretching the rod elongates those fragments into a texture that catches light in a way that’s hard to describe until you see it in person. Every time it turns on, it flares.
What makes it genuinely useful for a high-end interior is the flexibility. The crystal rods can run in clean straight lines, dramatic spirals, or completely freeform arrangements. It works in a soaring entryway, above a dining table, or as a focal point in a living space that already has everything else figured out. Each installation is essentially one of a kind.
