Two New Lualdi Doors Worth Knowing About

If you’ve been searching for the right interior door and keep hitting the same tired options, these two from Lualdi are worth a look.

We carry Lualdi at our La Jolla showroom, and honestly, their doors do something most can’t: they disappear into a space without feeling cheap about it.

L7: Light, Glass, and Piero Lissoni

The L7 is an aluminum and glass door designed by Piero Lissoni. It’s slim, it’s clean, and it lets light move through a room in a way that solid doors just don’t allow. The newest finish, a black mesh, adds a bit of edge without trying too hard.

It works beautifully in a modern home, but it doesn’t look out of place in something more classic either. That’s a harder thing to pull off than it sounds.

Filo 55S/T: The Door That Gets Out of the Way

The Filo 55S/T is a tambour-core hinged door, which basically means it’s built to be minimal and quiet. No frame drama. No visual noise. It can be pushed or pulled from either side, which is a small thing that makes a real difference in tighter spaces like a bathroom, closet, or hallway.

If you’re doing a remodel and want the architecture to breathe, this one earns its place.

How We Use These

At Unscripted Spaces, we pair Lualdi doors with Italian furniture and fixtures from brands like Poliform, antoniolupi, BOMMA, and others. A well-chosen door finishes a room the same way the right mirror or cabinet hardware does. It’s not the loudest thing in the space, but you’d notice if it were wrong.

We work with clients in La Jolla and across San Diego on full interior design projects and product sourcing. If you’re shopping for a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, or just trying to pull a space together, here’s how our process works.
