We carry Contardi at our La Jolla showroom. They’re an Italian lighting brand with a focus on architectural and decorative pieces that work beautifully in both residential and hospitality settings, and their outdoor collection is something we’re very excited to be bringing in.
Why We Love Contardi
Contardi is an Italian brand that does high-end architectural and decorative lighting. The concept is simple: function and aesthetic, with nothing unnecessary. Their pieces are focused, well-made, and available in a range of finishes that work across different interior styles.
What makes them particularly interesting to us is their outdoor lighting. Most brands treat outdoor lighting as an afterthought. Contardi’s outdoor collection is genuinely beautiful and practical. Several of their outdoor pieces are LED and rechargeable, so you can use them anywhere without running wire or worrying about weatherproofing. You charge the core unit inside and bring it back out. That’s a really easy product to live with.
They also have a strong hospitality collection. If you’re designing a boutique hotel, a home with a guest suite, or any space with a hospitality feel, Contardi has pieces that work: reading lamps, desk lamps with leather details, wall-mounted side lights.

Clara Outdoor Floor Lamp
All LED, fully rechargeable. The center element charges inside, clicks into the outer housing, and you’re done. Take it outside, move it wherever you want, no cords. Beautiful as a floor lamp on a terrace or next to an Ethimo seating arrangement.
Muse Nomad
A glass cube outdoor lamp with the same rechargeable core system as the Clara. Another elegant solution for outdoor spaces without running wire.

How Contardi Fits Into a Project
Contardi fills the decorative lighting layer that sits between BOMMA‘s statement pieces and ET2‘s architectural foundation. Where BOMMA is the focal point and ET2 is the system running through the ceiling, Contardi handles the in-between.
Their outdoor collection is where we reach for them most often in La Jolla. When a client has invested in an Ethimo outdoor living space and Umbrosa shade, the lighting is the last piece that makes it feel like a real room after dark. Contardi’s rechargeable pieces solve that without running wire or committing to a fixed installation, which is practical during a renovation and genuinely useful once the project is done.
