Lualdi: Italian Interior Doors in La Jolla
We carry Lualdi at our La Jolla showroom and specify their door systems in high-end residential projects throughout San Diego. Lualdi is the most renowned interior door company in Italy, and one of the few brands we carry that most people in the US haven’t heard of yet. That’s part of what makes it special.

Why We Love Lualdi
A door is one of those elements that most people choose last and spend the least time thinking about. In a luxury home, that’s a missed opportunity.
Lualdi is a family-owned Italian company that focuses entirely on interior doors and wall paneling. They’re on the architectural end of what we sell. Their products don’t just finish a room, they shape it.
What we love about them is that they can do almost anything. Pivoting doors, sliding systems with ceiling tracks and no floor tracks, full floor-to-ceiling panels with no headers, frameless and jamless hinged doors where the drywall runs straight to the door edge. Everything is based on field measurements and made to order for your specific space.
The materials are also exceptional: leather insets, porcelain panels, different glass finishes from transparent to opaque, real wood veneers. You can make a Lualdi door a focal point of a room, or you can have it completely disappear into the wall paneling. They can panel the surrounding walls in the same finish so the door vanishes into the surface. That’s a level of architectural refinement that very few brands can offer.
We chose Lualdi specifically because it complements Poliform and antoniolupi in quality and aesthetic. Together, these three brands can complete a home with cabinetry, bathrooms, and doors, all at the same level of Italian craftsmanship.

Products We Love Right Now

L7 Sliding Door
A glass sliding door system with what Lualdi calls “lights”. A grid placed over the glass that gives it a more divided, patterned look. Available in different grid configurations and glass finishes. Clean, modern, and works beautifully as a room divider or as the entry to a master suite.

Shoin Sliding Door
Another sliding system with a different frame detail and handle design. The difference between L7 and Shoin is in the framing and hardware. The tracks are the same, but each has its own personality. Both offer a large variety of glass and finish options.

Drive Sliding Door
Think of it as a modern barn door, but with completely hidden hardware. You get the sliding function without any of the heavy exposed track hardware. A very clever solution.

Rasomuro Hinged Door
This is Lualdi’s signature frameless, jamless hinged door. The drywall runs straight to the door edge with no profile, no casing, nothing. It comes in a double-sided version, so it can be flush with the hallway on one side and sit inset on the other based on wall thickness. The result is as close to invisible as a door can be.
What’s in Our Showroom
We have Lualdi door systems on display at our La Jolla showroom.
Seeing them in person is the fastest way to understand what separates these from other doors.
Come in and see the precision of the framing, the quality of the materials, and how little hardware is actually visible.

How We Use Lualdi in Projects
We often use Lualdi for the feature doors in a home (the master suite entry, the master bathroom, a home office partition) and pair them with Poliform cabinetry and antoniolupi fixtures to complete the interior. For secondary doors where budget is a consideration, we work with Albed as a complementary alternative.
