Why We Love Studio M
Studio M is a lighting company based in Los Angeles, a local manufacturer, also family owned. The family is very active in the business, which shows in the quality and the care that goes into each collection.
What makes them stand out is their approach: they collaborate with artists and designers to create each collection. It’s not a corporate design team putting something together, it’s a creative partnership with people who have a real point of view.
Studio M is part of a three-brand family. The parent company is Maxim, which covers general everyday lighting. ET2 handles architectural lighting with track systems, strip lighting, integrated wall lighting. And Studio M is the high-end designer tier with unique, artist-led pieces for spaces where lighting needs to make a statement.
Together, the three brands mean we can cover every lighting need in a home from one trusted family of companies.
Products We Love Right Now
Gusto Collection
A collaboration with Cesar Geraldo, a Colombian interior designer. Inspired by the ocean and built from glass and metal in an asymmetrical design with a beautiful linear feel. We have both the ceiling pendant and the table lamp on the floor in our showroom. It comes in different colors and has a very distinctive profile that reads differently from every angle.
Trance Collection
Designed by Nina Magen. A metal frame with iridescent glass panels inset into it. The iridescent finish does something really unusual in light, it shifts color depending on the angle and the light source. On the floor in our showroom.
New Age Collection
Also by Nina Magen. Table lamps that combine alabaster stone with metal and glass. The alabaster glows when lit in a way that no other material does. A beautiful finishing piece for a bedroom or living room.
