Designed by Paolo Ulian, Carsico starts with a detail that’s normally invisible: the core holes drilled into marble during production to reduce weight. Every marble sink has them. Nobody ever sees them. Ulian decided to make them the whole point.
Skilled craftsmen carve away the material around those holes, exposing them completely. What’s left is a sink that looks like architecture. Solid and void. Light and shadow. Irregular openings that shift depending on where you’re standing and how the light hits. No two pieces are identical, and that’s entirely the point.
Every mark from the carving process has been kept. Every imperfection is intentional. This isn’t a piece trying to look flawless. It’s a piece that’s honest about how it was made, and that honesty is what makes it extraordinary.
